Easy Buffalo Wing Hummus
I have a GIANT obsession with anything buffalo flavored - from pretzel thins to chicken wings to cauliflower, I think anything is better with buffalo sauce :)
That being said, I also LOVE making homemade hummus and often experiment with the flavors I put in there too! BAM: Buffalo wing hummus was created (many years ago - finally just sharing this simple recipe with you now!) It’s so easy, can easily be swapped for other beans / nuts, and goes great with everything from veggies to egg sandwiches.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup avocado or olive oil
1 garlic clove
1/2 cup cashews, soaked for 8 hours in water and then drained/rinsed
2-4 Tbsp buffalo sauce (Depends on your preference! Check the ingredients to make sure it is vegan! Many brands use cheese in theirs)
Here’s how to make it:
Using a food processor, combine all ingredients until smooth and well-combined. You may need to add more/less avocado oil depending on your desired hummus thickness! Serve topped with more oil + buffalo sauce. I LOVE mine with celery and carrots for a classic “buffalo wing” approach.
